Most of the tracks were not performed in their original key. Songs like "School" and "Smells Like Teen Spirit" were down tuned one semitone.

During the song "Smells Like Teen Spirit," Kurt Cobain sings "Our little tribe has always been...," replacing the word "group," used in the studio recordings, with "tribe."

The track "Lithium" was mislabeled as "Lythium" on most released versions of the album.
